Foxfoot Books is a new independent publisher of young adult fiction. We publish coming of age stories, fantasy and science fiction, romance, adventure, and horror. We do not accept submissions from agented authors. Why? Just to be contrary. So many publishers require agents to submit work, so we figured we’d go the other way.
We publish books in ebook and paperback formats through print-on-demand. This reduces need for paying for large print runs upfront and warehouse space to store those large print runs. Once a submission is accepted we will handle the final copy editing and proofreading of the book, formatting and uploading to Amazon and Ingram Spark, and cover art. We are happy to consider cover art writers bring to the table, but won’t move forward if the art doesn’t meet our standards.
Post-publication we will provide three months of “launch” marketing. We will provide authors with a post-launch marketing plan for them to follow, if they want. We do not offer advances.
Manuscripts should be between 30,000-100,000 words and written in English.
